Rock River has been developed as a retreat destination for people seeking a place to unplug from the noise and pressures of everyday life. Our Lodge offers a variety of settings to read, journal and pray as well as meeting space for group retreats up to 50 people.
Our Lodge can house up to 14 overnight guests. Our newly renovated Guest House features 10 rooms, each with two double beds and its own private bath. The Guest House also features a cozy gathering room that can accommodate small groups for 20 people.
The natural beauty of our 100 acre campus with a four acre lake, Boone River frontage, trails in 75 acres of woods and an abundance of wild life makes Rock River a place "where hearts are renewed."

The Sanctuary
A 1500 square foot cottage that is available to vocational pastors, missionaries and their spouses. The Sanctuary is nested in quiet corner of our campus with a stunning view of our lovely four acre lake.

Location
Rock River Retreat is located 4 miles south of Webster City on Highway 17. We are less than a one hour drive from
Des Moines. We have access to canoe rentals, great fishing, and great golf with the Briggs Woods Course just over two miles from our campus.
Our Executive Director
Larry Austin is Director of Church Health with the Central District of the EFCA. Prior to this current role, Larry served in a local church in variety of capacities for twenty-one years. He has worked in with two different church renewal ministries for over fifteen years and served with the EFCA's National Church Health Task Force for six years. He passion to teach people to walk in intimate and fruit bearing relationship with Christ, heart for leaders, and commitment to the health of the local church are all reflected in the ministry of Rock River.
